One of the joys of running a farm is getting to share the experience and contribute to the education of aspiring farmers. Each year, I work with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association to take on an apprentice for the season. I believe its the best opportunity for someone to learn the ins and outs of a farm and to fully experience the lifestyle for a season. I began my farming career as an apprentice and hope to provide the same opportunity for many apprentices to come.

Summer Internship

The summer months are full of activity on the farm. The CSA is in full swing, farmers markets become a weekly routine and we just try to keep up with the speedy growth of plants. Each year, I bring on a summer intern for the months of June, July and August to help my apprentice and I keep the farm running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for anyone who only has the summer available to work. The summer internship is essentially an abbreviated version of the MOFGA apprenticeship.
